Although I may be wrong, because if you entrusted experts with the care of your website or Facebook business page, they should ensure that the Facebook pixel is in place.
What is a Facebook pixel?
Let’s start from scratch, so what is a Facebook pixel? The Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions people take on your website.
Does it sound complicated? Let me illustrate this with some examples.
Several people visit your website daily. Some of them know your brand very well, know what you do and where to find you. But there are cases that some people came to your site quite accidentally, they do not know exactly what you can offer them.
I am also sure that if you have an online store you can identify a group of people who are not completing their shopping. They review the offer, add products to the basket, but do not finish the procedures at the checkout. Maybe something distracted them – an urgent call, a child, some other duties etc.
Those people who accidentally came to your site or did not finish their purchases are your potential customers. Some keyword they were looking for led them to you. Thanks to this, a given brand returns with its offers to the viewer. And you know that the customer must see the product on average 6 times before making a decision about its purchase. As you can see, with pixel it’s a piece of cake.
Facebook has really outdone itself when focusing on the types of people that you can reach through advertising. Despite the basic audience targeting, Custom and Lookalike Audience allow you to go one step further with some laser focus targeting.
What can you use Facebook pixel for?
Let’s summarise. You can use the pixel to:

- Drive more sales. Set up automatic bidding to reach people who are more likely to take an action you care about, like making a purchase.

Once you have set up the Facebook pixel, the pixel will fire when someone takes an action on your website. The pixel receives these actions, which you can view on your Facebook pixel page in Events Manager. From there, you will be able to see the actions that your customers take. You will also have options to reach those customers again through future Facebook ads with your hottest deals.
